Described as AMERICAN PIE meets SPECIES, DECOYS is set in a small-town university campus, where a rash of unexplained bizarre deaths of male students begins to occur. Luke, (Corey Sevier- WB's Black Sash) a shy virginal freshman suspects that two gorgeous female students are actually oracious aliens, whose appetite for hot men and cold weather is insatiable. He begins to search for answers, as do two detectives called in to investigate (Nicole Eggert- Bay Watch and Richard Burgi- 24 and Judging Amy). Luke soon realizes time is running out, and he must try to save his friends from sleeping with these sexual predators, before any one else becomes seduced and falls prey to their charms.
Behind the Scenes:
A week before the filming of DECOYS began, an open casting call was organized as producers were looking to cast a half dozen non-speaking female extras that would have their midriffs immortalized on film. In actual fact, it was their navels the camera sought. "The Great Navel Search Campaign" that was organized gained national media attention as hundreds of girls lined up for hours to show their belly buttons in hopes of getting their big break.
